Llangrannog 2026

Between the 5th and 7th of March, our pupils enjoyed an unforgettable residential visit to Llangrannog. The aim of the trip was simple: to practise a little Welsh while having plenty of fun together – “dysgu trwy hwyl!” (learning through fun!).

From the moment we arrived, the pupils threw themselves into a wide range of exciting activities, showing fantastic brwdfrydedd (enthusiasm), teamwork and confidence.

Throughout the trip we encouraged everyone to use a bit of Welsh – whether it was a cheerful “Bore da!”, a polite “Diolch”, or even ordering something in Welsh at the shop.

Over the three days, pupils took part in many adventurous activities including:

  • Llinyn Zip (Zip Line)

  • Cwods a Wal Twr (Quads & Tower Wall)

  • Rhaffau Isel (Low Ropes)

  • Bag Neidio (Jump Bag)

  • Rhaffau Uchel (High Ropes)

  • Saethyddiaeth (Archery)

  • Ceirt Modur (Go-Karts)

  • Sgio (Skiing)

  • Gwibgartio (Toboganning)

  • Cyfeiriannu a Siop (Orienteering and Shop)

  • Adeiladu Tîm (Team Building)

In the evenings the fun continued with traditional and social activities including Gemau Potes, a lively Twmpath (Welsh folk dancing) and, of course, a much-anticipated Disgo to end the day with music, laughter and plenty of dancing!

It was wonderful to see pupils supporting one another, trying new challenges, and using their Welsh in real-life situations. The trip was a fantastic opportunity to build hyder (confidence), friendships and independence.

A huge diolch yn fawr to the staff who organised and accompanied the trip, and to the instructors at Llangrannog for making the experience so enjoyable. The pupils represented the school brilliantly and created memories that will last a long time.

Da iawn pawb!
