Bassaleg School Shines in Cyber Security Competition

We're proud to announce that two of our talented teams have successfully advanced in the recent Cyber Security Competition organised by universities across Wales and the Southwest of England. Our school was represented by Alfie Barlow and Rhys Rowbotham in Year 11, and James Ellis, Owen Chaiteizwi, Lucas Routley and Klaudio Werys in Year 10.

These teams competed alongside over 1,360 students and 250 teams from schools in Wales and the Southwest, demonstrating the exceptional technical skills and cybersecurity knowledge of our students. Both teams have earned their place in the next round of this prestigious competition, showcasing Bassaleg School's commitment to excellence in cyber and digital skills. The competition, supported by The University of South Wales, The University of the West of England, and Cardiff University, challenges students to solve complex cybersecurity problems and test their digital problem-solving abilities.

Congratulations to our cyber security teams for their hard work and impressive achievement!
